About me

Hello. I’m Addison and you have stumbled onto my little space where I play with the web and talk to the ether. I go by add1sun pretty much everywhere on the web. I’m an American from Maryland but I now live permanently in Copenhagen, Denmark and spend winters in Oaxaca, Mexico. My roots are firmly planted in Denmark through my many friends and my wife, Camilla, who is Danish.

I love to travel, and do quite a lot of it for both work and fun. I enjoy cooking and sharing a meal with friends and family and I’ve got quite the nice home bar. Most evenings or weekends you’ll find me lost in a book or headed out for a hike. I’ve also become quite focused on fitness, working out regularly and trying new outdoor adventures.

I’m an open source advocate and since 2006 I’ve been working with the Drupal content management system. Myself and several former colleagues published the O’Reilly book, Using Drupal, at the end of 2008, and a second edition in 2012. I work with open source as CEO of Osio Labs, which is known for our training sites Drupalize.Me, Hey Node, and Gatsby Guides.

If you’d like to get in touch with me, feel free to drop a line!
