about me

Hello. I’m Addison and you have stumbled onto my little space where I play with the web and talk to the ether. I go by add1sun pretty much everywhere on the web. I work with web stuff full-time, helping people figure out how to build the sites they need. I'm an American from the Washington, DC area, but I'm currently settling myself in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I love to travel, and I've been doing quite a lot of it the last two years, renting out my house and just living where I wanted. I've finally zeroed in on Copenhagen as a place to make home and while I plan to keep traveling for fun, I'm also enjoying having a home base surrounded by friends and fun new things to experience and learn (Danish is not an easy language my friends ;-)). Another wonderful thing about not being on the move so much is that I can get back to cooking in a kitchen that I know well, with all the little gadgets I missed on the road. Food and beer are passions of mine, so I'm excited to be not only cooking again, but getting back to homebrewing, which I have missed horribly over the years.

In other geekery, I’m an Open Source advocate and was involved with the Apache Forrest project for a while, which was my introduction to the “Open Source” way. My current love and community efforts are for Drupal. I’m heavily involved in the community and my job revolves around Drupal as a Lullabot and the product manager for Drupalize.me. Myself and several other Lullabots published the O'Reilly book, Using Drupal, at the end of 2008. If you'd like me to work on your project, please get in touch with Lullabot through our contact form. If you'd like me to speak at your event, just drop me a line and we can chat.
