Going to play at SANDcamp

Going to SANDcampThis weekend, I'm headed out to sunny San Diego for my first Drupal event of the year, SANDcamp. I can't wait to see my friends, meet new people and generally geek out for a few days. I'm excited for a lot of reasons and while basking in the warmth of SoCal is definitely something to be excited about, there will be lots of Drupal goodness too. We're looking to have around 100 Drupalers come together from all over for two full days, for free even. If you haven't signed up yet, you better get on it.

There will be two tracks, one that walks folks through from installing Drupal to building a full-featured site, monkeying with lots of cool modules along the way, and the other will be for developer and themer nitty-gritty. I'm going to be doing a keynote to kick things off then I'll be checking out all the goodies I can attend. On Sunday, I'm totally stoked to do a four-hour documentation sprint, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be the first sprint of the year and hopefully just the start of a very sprinty year. By running it over several hours, folks can come by and learn, work, hang out for as long or short a period they want to and have flexibility with the other sessions. After I wrap up the sprint, I'll be doing one more session to help wind down the Site Building track. Whew. And then Monday I fly back to the cold and grey. So come check it out and show me some good Cali fun.

I am attending SANDcamp and I was wondering if you were going to have copies of Using Drupal for sale at the event?

I won't have any for sale; that would be too much to carry/deal with. But I will be bringing a copy to give away at the camp. :-)

Awesome. See you there; I'll be presenting on Saturday.
